| Tags: ww2 Description: Divisional level War in the East Front (1941-...). 140x120 map, 600+ units, 12 mile scale, 7 day turns, historic division names. Note a side can be played in entirety or split in three sectors (north, center, south)to allow for multiplayer play. Note also that sectors can be put to sleep for a smaller game. | 8 | Date Feb 22. Have played Northern section as Germany, and Southern as Soviets (both vs A.I.) Played seamlessly and seems well balanced. Only issue I found is in Southern section, where neither side has production sites for ships in Black Sea, even though Soviets start with ships there. (Can create ships on interior river, but that serves little purpose.) Believe having both sides able to produce and use ships would improve scenerio, and differentiate play vs. landlocked middle section of map. Thomas, November 30th, -0001, Rev#0 |
| 8 | From what i've seen of the scenario it looks pretty great. Looking forward to playing it some more. Against AI it is best to split the game into 3 fronts. From what Rick and I have been gather you can play AI with factions combined into just Axis and soviet but the AI will probably need 2-3 hours to complete a turn. | 5 | very very soviet favored. Russians can easily build up forces (especially AF) that is very unrealistic. Should be limits on research for Russians. Did tweber forget this was 1941????? Also, production for axis is non-existent and taking ground/cities has almost no effect on Russian capacity to build. WHEN IN REALITY, they have to move factories back and 41 was slow year, compared to 42 and 43 when these factories came back online.
