Victor Reijkersz Designs first commercial game, Advanced Tactics, was released by Matrix Games in late 2007.

The game received good reviews from the Wargamer, Armchair General, Out of Eight and Wrote on the Ground. Also the game received 2nd best game of 2007 Wargamer.com award in the readers choice department, 2nd best wargame 2007 award by Cyber Strategee magazine and 2nd best wargame award by the wargame usenet group.
With the release of Advanced Tactics Gold this original Advanced Tactics is no longer on sale.
